Snack Shack in Orick

Best place to stop by and grab a quick bite. They have a lot of options in their menu including some vegetarian friendly dishes. Their servings are pretty generous. I really enjoyed their elk burger. It was very delicious 😋. Definitely stop by when you get a chance.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Fairly fast service with a large Burger menu and more option than I've ever seen. They also have a vegan/ non meat option as well. Shakes onion rings and elk Burger. Heart attack special some call it. m.We chatted with the mom and pops that owned and ran the place about local events. Best food for 40 miles I heard. Only 2 miles to the beach and about 12 to a large mounting redwood Grove. Small town feel prices are more range with the average lunch /dinner we looked at about $13 bucks

Nice little snack shop.

Just one guy running this place but he is fast and the burgers are delicious! Very fresh ingredients. There's an antique place next door so good place to kill time while food is being prepared if busy. We also had milkshakes and they were awesome! Stop in for some comfort food, you'll be glad you did!

Great fries and burgers, sometimes they have elk burgers!

This was a great little lunch spot while we were exploring the Redwoods. Easy access in and out. No indoor dining. The food was great. Had ok prices, but the portions were huge.

Orick, is a small bend in the road but this little snack shack is a great place to stop for fresh, delicious food. Don't let appearances fool you. Great things come in small packages. The shakes are the best I've tasted and the sandwiches were delicious, fresh, and individually prepared. Give it a try.

They offer a nice range of fresh food. I enjoy eating here. Staff members are always very nice, pricing is affordable and the spot is always neat.

Extremely greasy food. Onion rings tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil. We will never stop there again. I was sick from it all night.

Interesting place and the old man that owned it was a kick.

Its five star snack shack. When I go hiking or rafting north of orik, I love to stop at this place on the way north to grab a burger and the loaded tater tots. Be warned those tater tots could feed a small army. The Elk burger is good and available if your the kind of sicko who wants to eat elk while you watch elk... :)

It's decent food in a large radius, the wait was a bit long but at least there is an elk burger to try!

Delicious food! And what wonderful service, the man working was so kind to make us dinner when he could have just kept the outside lights off and continued closing. Great company to chat with as well. I had the Elk Burger and it was so good, great fries too. Thank you Snack Shack!

Great hole in the wall awesome burgers

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but dont let that fool youThere customer service was awesome and the food is great and they give you alot of food for great prices.

Food was not that great. It was cheap ingredients for a high price. A meal consisting of a small burger, frie, and drink will run you $15-20 since all are over charged and individually priced. They were the only place open, and I believe they are taking advantage of that. The hamburger patty tasted wierd.

All roadtrippers driving 101 should stop for these delicious burgers! They have elk, 100% grass-fed beef, and even vegetarian options! Their onion rings are to die for and you can top off your meal with a tasty shake. Definitely returning next time we travel the coast!

5 stars...ugh! More like 10 stars. If you good greasy food you'll looove this place. I recommend anyone driving through here to stop at the snack shack. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Enjoy you some good grub.And the shakes are phenomenal.

Seriously, WOAH! We stopped here on a whim and got the elk burger, some loaded tots and a peanut butter, chocolate shake. Holy smokes😳 The food was good, but that. darn. shake.👌🏼👌🏼 It was so good and and the staff was very friendly! Highly recommended!

It was awesome! You know it's good when you do the happy food dance😍 The tater tots were crispy and hot and huge portion size. Shakes were delish, 1 banana shake and 1 peanut butter and banana shake. Great burgers, so big.

Great stop while taking a break from the big trees. Good selection of burgers and the tots were a great change from fries.

Very delicious food. The establishment didn’t exactly give off a look of cleanliness and the service was not all the friendly but the food definitely made up for it. Very delicious burgers and a wide variety of menu options. I would recommend this place for anyway looking for a casual dining experience with good food. Not the fastest service in the world so if you are looking for something quick this might not be it, but this place still deserves 5 stars off of food alone.

Long wait and thick frozen over priced milkshakes

The best milkshake I've ever had! The staff was excellent. The lady running the place was very nice. Stop in if you have the chance! It's really great.

Great burger, nice and juicy! Onion rings looked and tasted hand made. Will definitely stop by again next time I’m driving through Orick on my way to the Redwoods!

My friends and I visited this place on a summer evening, and it was an amazing experience. The food and atmosphere were both amazing. 10/10 would go again.

Expensive and tasteless. I’m not saying I got food poisoning from this place but I was throwing up 8 hours later. Fryer ran out of propane, staff was chasing a dog around the parking lot. I can’t imagine them passing health inspections.

Was very yummy cooked to order and friendly crew I've been waiting about a year to eat here and always passed when closed so finally got it and was worth the wait the only bummer was prices they really could use some adjusting in the down direction but I will eat there again

Awesome, friendly little place. Burgers and tots were tasty. We didn't get the pizza but someone at another table did and it look delicious. Chat with the locals while waiting for your food.

Wow this is a gem. And reasonable prices. Only $1 for soda. Had taters and corn dogs and grilled cheese. Elk burgers and beef burgers also on the menu with a nice set of local flavor options. Would go again.

Greasy burger and this place seems dirty

They now serve breakfast!! This is a must stop for anyone who is wanting a quality meal. Everything is made fresh to order. The food is fantastic whether it's a breakfast sandwich, an elk burger, or an ice cream milkshake.

Been here twice now between two years and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Both the elk burger and beef both smash. Owner let me pee right in the back alley!

Fabulous milkshakes! Service is unsurpassed. Wide array of condiments. Cool names of offerings on the menu like the Log Deck and Chicken Lady Bird Johnson.

My family of 5 finally found something we can agree on, we all LOVED the bacon cheeseburgers!
